Sorry, it'll only hurt them. If they get rid of used games that means rentals are out of the question too. Because of that, many people won't even bother buying some games because they have no idea if they'll like them or not. Because of this, smaller games won't stand a chance because no one will take a chance on them. Who wants to spend $70 on a game that they have no idea if they'll like it or not? People will mostly just buy games that are established and they kno...

Some of you are so caught up with Gamestop that you fail to even realize that it's not just them that it hurts. I don't use Gamestop at all but I do use GameFly and an anti-used game feature like this would render them useless. If I can't use GameFly, it's not worth buying. Any type of rental business, really. You'll no longer be able to test out the game before you buy it- and don't tell me about demos. Those things last about 5 minutes.

The best workaround is called a PC. And Gamestop wouldn't be stupid to stop selling a system that effectively destroys their business.

I completely agree with you. I've been saying for years that the price of games is doing more harm than good. They would sell a ton more games if they would just make them affordable.

People are so worried about buying a crappy game that they only buy the ones they know will be good or ones their friends are going to play so it in turn makes it very difficult for game creators to create new and creative games because they're too afraid it will fail because no one ...

So far, I've heard reports that both MS and Sony are looking at using this anti-used game feature. If one of them did not use it, I guarantee you that company would win the console race next gen.

I have no idea why anyone would disagree with slavish.

Does this make any sense to anyone else?

Sorry, but if either MS or Sony implement an anti-used game feature on their console, I'm not going to even bother buying a console. I'll stick with my trusty PC.

Like others have said, Gamefly is a must in order to play games. They're just too damn expensive otherwise. This anti-used game feature would kill Gamefly, which in turn means I'm not buying their console.

Increasing the price will only increase piracy and the amount of people that use Gamefly or only buy used games.

While I agree that some people are taking this thing WAY too far (starting a class action lawsuit?!?! come on), the ending did suck.

It basically took the whole purpose of the game(your decisions and how they affect outcomes) and made it meaningless. What was the point of even making the choices if the choices didn't even matter?

If you want a well thought out article that explains it very well, I highly recommend reading this article:

It could be done but I think it needs another 5 years or so. One, you need the price to come down a ton, I'd bet. Two, you'd have to figure out a way to play the thing without having to stand up. Not many people want to play games standing up. Another issue with the standing up is when you can't see your actual surrounding(because you're wearing the glasses), you're bound to start running into things in your room. You might lose your bearings and run into your wall, T...

I'm just dumbfounded that people actually watch Faux News.

I had such high hopes for this but the more I see of it, the less I like.

I really have no idea why this developer is so popular? If I wanted to watch a movie, I'll watch a movie where I don't have to be bothered to push a button every now and then. I don't like having to do mundane crap just to advance the story.

Hmm...a little concerned at the lack of many enemies or NPC's. Looks like an empty world with a few enemies here and there.

Hopefully there's more. We'll just have to wait.

Considering the last MOH was, let's just say, not very good, I have my doubts.

I'm left handed and would use it. When playing an FPS, I have to use the Southpaw setup so if I ever want to jump while moving, I have to bring my right index finger over the top of the controller and down to the jump button. You can't move with your right thumb and press the jump button at the same time because they're(the move stick and jump button) both on the same side.

That's just one more reason I rarely ever play FPS's on a console.

If they want to even it out a little they should make it dependent on where you're shot. If you're shot in the legs or arms, you can go into final stand. If you're shot in the lower torso, you go into last stand where you live for a few seconds but then die(can't get back up like with final stand). If you get shot in the head or upper torso you don't get any type of final stand. You just die immediately.

This adds a counter for the good players. If y...

The problem with waiting is that it builds the hype even more. It's already to the point that it can't live up to what people expect from it. The longer it takes to make a game, the better the game people expect. We've waited so long already that I honestly don't think the game will ever be as good as what I, or many others, expect.

They should have been working on Source 2 for years now fully expecting to debut it on HL3. Source 2 should already be made a...

That's because they don't want to spend any money on a new engine. They'd have to upgrade in order to get close to those pics but because Activision are some of the cheapest bastards around and all they care about is money, they try and deflect and say, "but we run at 60 fps".
